Gideon is an Internationally trained practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine with 20 plus years of experience. His primary modality is Acupuncture. For a similar amount of time he has been a teacher of Tai Qi & Gi Gong. In addition, he consults in homes and businesses, creating cures using Feng Shui.
Gideon’s passion is rooted in his innate comprehension of Chi (Qi, Prana, Energy). In private consultation and treatment, Gideon interprets in-depth studies of traditional Chinese signs, classical works such as the I-Ching, the Yellow Emperor’s Classic and the Confucian primary texts. Recently he has created acupuncture-based treatments for facial rejuvenation – a relatively non-invasive aesthetic approach that yields wonderful results. He has developed a reputation for gentle, painless acupuncture techniques and serves many patients seeking relief in painful conditions such as sciatica.
His approach with clients is comprehensive in advice. He uses counselling and tailored strategies, keeping in mind personal orientations and cultural identification.
Gideon has recently returned to South Africa, his birth country to assist his parents. With him he brings skills honed abroad in four continents. Gideon is committed to continuous self-education for the purpose of expanding his knowledge and wisdom. He is driven to teach and mentor with a special interest in young men. Currently he is enrolled in a study of the Jungian approach of the deep subconscious mind.
Besides Chinese Medicine, Gideon is an author and accomplished chef. He has a curious mind, loves people and puzzles. He enjoys nature, walking, swimming, movies but above all his children. Gideon can be reached via phone or WhatsApp on +27 76 800 6036.
GIDEON’S FAVOURITE BOOKS
IMTIAZ SOOLIMAN AND THE GIFT OF THE GIVERS | By Shafiq Morton
After meeting the positive Dr Sooliman I was inspired to read this book about the tremendous work he is doing. His passion and drive is an inspiration and the work that is accomplished in difficult emergency situations via Gift of the Givers is something I aspire to emulate.
THE MESSAGE | By Eugene H Petersen
Revisiting the Bible in contemporary language is stimulating and refreshing. The values expressed in this work underpins my inspiration as a healer. I also enjoy reading in fresh language.
12 RULES OF LIFE | By Jordan Peterson
Dr Peterson has been an inspiration to millions including my sons – I love how he rationalises basic concepts that young men respond to. His call to self-responsibility and its subsequent benefits has a deep resonance with me. Go Dr Peterson, we want more! I have devoured his videos and find them very stimulating.
SAPIENS | By Yuval Noah Harari
A popular book though some academics think it’s a stretch. I think there are real benefits in taking information from multiple disciplines and attempting to extrapolate bigger truths. The key concept I like within this work is focused around our interdependence as a species, and how cooperation leads to the benefit of all.

In the middle of this work, Wilhelm includes the 10 wings: wisdom stretching back to antiquity and still the principles are valid today. No greater exposition on the interrelationship between opposites exists in my opinion. Ask me about it an
